Thomson Reuters has introduced a significant enhancement to its industry leading Checkpoint PPC Tax Deskbooks by providing Interactive Practice Aids in the context of the tax research workflow.

Tax laws and regulations are complex and constantly changing. In order to help tax professionals meet the demands of increasing tax season workload compression, practitioners can now retrieve all of the Interactive Practice Aids available for a particular key issue or illustration through an innovative Context Panel. Users can launch and complete Interactive Practice Aids directly within Checkpoint and save them to a Checkpoint folder, or export them and work offline.

“Through this enhanced experience, our customers will have confidence that their clients’ tax returns will be accurately, consistently and efficiently prepared,” said Colleen Dillon, director, Tax Practitioner Segment with the Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting business. “These time-saving tools are now included as added value in each Deskbook and are integrated with the Deskbook purchase at no extra cost to our customers.”

The Interactive Practice Aids are now available for the core compliance Deskbook library titles 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120 and 1120S and will continue to expand into additional Deskbooks in 2017.
